CASSE is dedicated to creating safe environments for our children

through psychoanalytical understanding of conflict.

Burrows Interactive working with The Egg Digital created a new Brand Identity for CASSE then applied the visual style to website Interface and content templates.

CASSE (Creating A Safe Supportive Environment) is a new organisation dedicated to the creation of a safe place through psychoanalytic understanding of the dynamics of conflict, bullying and violence.

CASSE believes that the psychoanalytic approach it is developing can be applied to range of environments such as child care, workplace and social and health care organizations. Its approach is also relevant to communities that are in conflict or traumatised. It will, however, focus on its school program for the next 3 years.

Schoolyard bullying is a topic that is often taboo yet the consequences of unresolved bullying can be dire. Indeed, bullying and the results of such behaviour make headlines all too often. However, by creating a safe, supportive environment, bullying can be prevented.

CASSE has embarked on a project to develop safe and supportive environments in schools so that students can grow, play and learn. Such environments are vital in facilitating the formation of resilience and cognitive development.

CASSE’s approach is based on the current psychodynamic understanding of how the mind functions and how individuals relate to one another. This approach seeks to understand and address the underlying causes of problem behaviours such as bullying and violence, and is therefore different from other models, which focus largely on problem behaviours and how to respond to them.
